With the game clock and shot clock both winding down toward zero, Trae Young hit one of the toughest shots of the season to put his team ahead 132-130 with 1.6 seconds remaining.
That is about as tough of a shot for one to make, and Young made it look like it was just another day at the office.
The game-winning bucket accounted for two of Young’s 34 points in the win. That is now back-to-back games with 34 points for the Hawks guard, who was snubbed of an All-Star Game appearance.
If the season were to end today, the Hawks would be guaranteed at least one game in the play-in tournament as they currently hold the No. 9 seed in the Eastern Conference.
